I recently read a book that I can't shake, not that I want to. I've been writing about it several places and submitted a review at Amazon.com at the selling site for it. I've always been a fan of the legendary actress Natalie Wood and I always suspected there was more to her mystery death than has ever been told, even though several books have covered the subject, even by her former husband, who was with her when she went missing, Robert Wagner. This book by author Marti Rulli is one of the most compelling I've ever read. One other reviewer said it is better than the DaVinci Code. It is, however, that complicated, but Rulli explains every detail in such a comprehensive way that one never gets lost in the story of former Captain Dennis Davern who was aboard the yacht the night Ms. Wood died. He passed a polygraph, too, in regards to his account. Rulli winds her personal experience with the story throughout the book and she conducted simple evidence tests that shows how shoddy the professional investigation into the case was. The book was featured with a frist line read in Woman's Day magazine Nov. 3 edition, too. This truly is one of the most intriguing stories I've come across in ages, but there seems to be a media silence on it, and that, I suspect is another byproduct of "celebrity" -- Inside Edition did air a segment about Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour this past week, and I'm wondering if anyone saw it? I highly recommend this book to anyone. The picture of Natalie on the cover is just perfect, and the photos inside are so real, as all are candid shots taken by the captain. It is definitely a story that needed to be told, far beyond cookie-cutter celebrity books. It deserves support, but you will be angry with "powers that be" after reading this one! But, the mystery is definitely solved! Also, glad to be a member here. I love to discuss books.
